S P A MENS SINGLES LEAGUE
The Shetland mens singles league is for the purpose of bringing forward mens pool within the isles.
Entry fee £10.00
Under 18's & OAP's £5.00
As we do not know numbers yet, the following format is what we hope to achieve.
EXAMPLE ONLY
If 64 players enter:
- The current ranking league will be used to select groups.
( If you are not currently ranked an appropriate ranking will be decided on past performance.)
- Players ranked 1 – 8 will go into pot 1, 9 – 16 in to pot 2, 17 – 24 in to pot 3, and so on.
- A group of 8 players will be made up from drawing one name from each of the 8 pots.
Each of the groups will play a round robin, each match consisting of 10 frames. 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw.
The top two from each group will go into a knockout competition.

Winner B vs Runner Up C
Winner C vs Runner Up D
etc
50% of the generated income will be payed out in prizes.

If we get the 64 entries then the prize fund will be as follows
1st £160
2nd £80
3rd & 4th £40
The remaining 50% will become income to SPA and will be used towards MENS Team fee for IBA/Worlds/County

PLAY WILL COMMENCE FROM MONDAY 4th May, ALL GAMES MUST BE PLAYED BY SUNDAY 31st AUGUST

Registrations and entry fees will be taken at Norscot Angling Club from 1pm on Sunday 26th April till 7pm. And also from 1pm Sunday 3rd May till 2pm, when the draw will made. If you cannot make the registration days, please contact Ryan or Alan to arrange a suitable place and time to sumbit fees.
